Opinion: Maurice Ashley is The WORST Commentator Possible

Throughout the World Chess Championship, Maurice Ashley has proven to be the worst host I have ever witnessed for such a prestigious event. 

During the opening of the round, he stumbles, acting as if he's failing to read off the teleprompter in front of him. 

However, his behavior has proven to be exceptionally unprofessional and hostile during the press conference after the game. Time and time again, he especially enjoys attacking Ding for failing to spot "easy opportunities" to win. He talks to Ding in a tone different from Gukesh's, using a noticeably harsher one. 

Today in Round 5, Maurice was especially condescending to both players. He acted extremely negative to players and press alike. 

Maurice is obviously biased towards Gukesh, and it seems to me like he thinks his job is to annoy Ding as much as possible. Kudos to Ding for not falling for Maurice's provocative baits.

Maurice truly acts with an inflated ego, creating a tense and uncomfortable atmosphere for both players. Rather than serving as a host, he has proven to be an interrogator. He has proven to be a joke to the chess world. 

There is only one route: FIDE should replace him with a more welcoming host for Round 6.
