     So you've decided to check out my previous blogs and you've come across this post? Maybe you've come from my website  and you'd like to find out how to get a brief learning session? Many chess coaches are offering free services and I can provide a sample of my teaching as well!

 A teaching game and immediate feedback on any games you'd like assessed is available by simply sending me a message on chess.com. I'm happy to point out habits, strengths and areas of improvement very clearly, unlike chess engines and books!

     Thanks to friends and internet resources, I'm able to share my passion of teaching with players who have the time and interest in getting better. I believe I am very good at instilling the basics despite my rating, scrutiny of which would no doubt illicit a word on elitism in chess. Though I , like many others may want to try a new line now and again, and may not win every game, I consider myself to be a great coach despite not having a competitive instinct 100% of the time. Case in Point: in the 80s, Mike Tyson, the youngest heavyweight boxing champion of the world, was trained by Cus D' Amato, a man who fought, and lost, his only amateur bout!
