Patzer to Grandmaster

In my first live game since the over the board tournament, I was up against ByvalyjY. He has played only five rapid games on Chess.com. He joined chess.com yesterday. It was a Sicilian, and he was able to prevail. I played well, though in the end I had too many inaccuracies and mistakes to get a win. 

ByvalyjY on the other hand is on a trajectory up. He has won four of his five games and jumped another 60 points by beating me. Not only that but his accuracy in all of his games is consistently staying above 88%. And in our game, he had no inaccuracies, no mistakes, and no blunders. So, he deserved the win. I just ran into someone on his way up. 

That unfortunately slowed down my improvement path. 

My next featured game was with flipperball1963. Flipperball has been on Chess.com since 2015. For the most part he has been hanging out in the 1300's. That is a space that I am trying to become comfortable with. 

As white flipperball plays d4.  A man after my heart. On the other hand, he loves him some London System and I can't say that is my forte. We had a good match that was pretty evenly matched and ended in a fairly classic endgame study where I had to outflank his king. I thought I had the advantage. The question was could I remember that study. 

When I first started my serious attempt to improve my chess game It was May of last year I was 1089.

At the end of 2021 I was 1257.

My Acceptable goal for 2022 is 1300

1 month ago I was 1348. 

My Good goal for 2022 is 1350

As of now 1365

My Best goal for 2022 is 1400

My Premier goal for 2022 is 1450.
