About one hour ago, I finished my 6 games (90|30) in BC chess Open with 2 wins, 1 loss and 3 draws. It was my first tournament in Canada, 5 months after entering here as an international student. Five of my opponents were masters (NM or FM), so I am happy with the result, especially because I won a prize of $250. My performance rating should be around 2300.
I'm going to write in detail about all my games, but for now, it's my last game versus FM Jason Cao with Fide rating of 2323. As Black, I played KID, Saemisch. The game went smoothly for me, but at the critical moment, when I could've demolished White's camp with 29. ... Nc4+, due to time trouble, I played the second best move 29. ...Qxa3+. I was still winning after that, but another mistake came. Alas! After that, when I was losing, I could resist heroically and got draw! It's nice when you can come back after such a bad blunder!
Here is the game
