Hi everyone.
Today i will talk about the fried liver, one of the most popular traps in all chess. The thing about the fried liver is that it works at begginer and intermediat level and its very usefull to blow your oponent off the board.
So the fried liver atack starts like this.
So its a Italian game normal chess until you play Nf5 focusing on the weak f7 square now three things can happen here one Qe2, this variation of the italian is called Knight atack.
Qe2 is a tricky move but you play the move Nxf7 pointing at the rook and the only way to save the rook is playng Rg2 but you can use an other tricky move playng Nf5 retroceding your night to create a discovered atack on the rook and if your oponent sees that and plays Rh8 the atack is
over but you are up a pawn and you have weakened the f7 square so in the middlegame your pieces can atack that week point.
The second option is your oponent playng d5 this move is ok but your oponent has to be careful because you can play exd5 and then the most popular response to this is Nxd5? because you can play Nxf7!! a brilliant move sacrificing the knight so then when the king captures you play Qf3+! great move checking the king. The most popular responses to this queen check are Ke8 that is a mistake keeping the king in the center were you basicly leave a knight hanging.
Here your oponent has 2 options, he can safeguard his king with the queen or blunder checkmate, and in the begginer level the second option is the most popular.
The second option is Kg8 that blunders mate.
And the third option is your oponent playng the traxler counteratack, its a very tricky counteratack because if you don't know well how it goes your oponents are simply going to crush you. But that doesen't stop you from using this counteratack against other people who try to play the fried liver to you. So it goes like this...
So here you basicly blow your oponent of the board at a cost of a rook. The question is how do you stop it, well, first you DON'T take the f2 bishop instead you play king f1 to later win a rook.
So i've showed you the main lines of the fried liver and how to defend yourself if someone plays it against you here is a litle trap that you can use if you are atacked with the fried liver.
So that's all thank you for reading this publication it took 3 hours to make this and i would apreciate a lot a coment, and if you think it was awfull tell me so i can improve.
Thank you and goodbye!!
