Opening chess

   Hello everyone, I have been playing chess for 6 years now. I have played 1. e4 and I have been having a hard time knowing what to do agaist 1. e5 for my whole career. What do you guys think? Many people will say 2. Nf3 probably but my main problem with that is 2. Nc6. What then? I am on okay player, my USCF rating is 1997 but I have been struggling with openings for a while now.
