On Wednesday, Sep. 16 Chess.com hosted the first Streamers ChallengeThis was a 7-round tournament where participants live-streamed their games and discussed their thoughts as they played. It was won by GM Jon Ludvig Hammer and GM Georg Meier, who tied for first with 5.5/7. I tied for second with 5/7 after failing to nail Hammer in the final round. So close!

Most importantly, I had a TON of fun streaming and interacting with the hundreds of viewers who tuned in to watch my stream. In the final-round encounter with GM Hammer nearly 500 viewers tuned in to my stream on YouTube!

In case you missed it, here is my full 2.5 hour+ stream:

I also posted a recap video featuring analysis of all my games:

Thanks to Chess.com for putting on such a fine event, and congrats to GMs Hammer and Meier for winning! I'd also like to thank all of the people who watched my stream and supported me.

Finally, Chess.com is currently running a poll on the streamer "fan favorite." The winner receives $500 and official streaming bragging rights, so I encourage you to vote for me or your favorite streamer!

Can't wait for the next Streamers Challenge. If it's anything like the first, it'll be a much-anticipated event!
