My first ever chess tournament...
August of 2022, 1 year, and 800 rating points of experience in my past.
My openings were far different than they are today, and I had no style, as you will definitely notice. At a mere 1300 rating online with 0 otb experience... lets see how I fared... Prepare for blunders, confusion, and utter chaos!
Despite the sloppiness, I managed to win with an 85% accuracy! I was so proud of my round one win, however, it only gets harder from here. As next up was a 1300 Otb player.
This pushes the limits of "A win is a win" But ill take it! Scuffed game from both of us.
There was indeed an attempt at playing for a win, well whatever. Time to lock in for day 2 of the tourney with even GMs in it.
2 wins and 2 losses! Not bad for my first ever tournament, hopefully I can lock in for round 5!
Yikes, just yikes. My lowest rated loss ever too.
Well I mean 2-0-3 isnt that terrible! With an ending provisional rating of 1090 I certainly had nothing to be upset over, lets hope I can improve until my next tournament! Which I may make a blog on eventually.
But until next time! Peace out yall, good luck with your chess goals!
