Too many 1700s!!! Northern Open Recap!

Hey gang! Im back and stronger at chess than ever. In this recent tournament I played in the u1800 section. As a 1408... missing the cutoff of the u1400 section by 8 mere rating points. No way this could go wrong!

Draw first round against a 1676! Not too bad for me! Very solid game after all, I am now 0.5/1

Sloppy, sloppy game. What should have been a win in my rematch with Katie was instead a draw because of me speeding it and missing her only counter. Just disappointing overall, still 2 draws against very strong players is solid. 1/2 score so far

Best win I have ever had, I am very proud of this game. He made one mistake and I immediately attacked and capitalized on one of the strongest players I have ever had to face. He got very mad but was a solid sport. 95% accuracy and performance rating of 2350 in that game! 2/3 score so far now!

Day 2 has arrived, and we start it straight off vs the second best player in my division...

Damn... I got crushed. All props to my opponent he was a great guy. And he is in the cover photo for this very blog! 2/4 score. Lets get this final game over with

I was so happy when I saw it wasnt another damn 1700. Finally something easy!. All in all it was an amazing tournament that I am incredibly proud of. I had a performance rating of 1743, and my new estimated rating is 1530 give or take.
