My Chess Coaching Info!
The Capital Chess Coach (C.C.C.)
Hello everybody! I am happy to announce that I am now accepting students in person or online for chess coaching lessons! I charge 20$/h with each session lasting 1-2 hours at a time. If you don't formally know me my name is Jacoby G., I am an active tournament player in Maine and a very active part of the chess community. I am the current president of my Capital Chess Club hence the name Capital Chess Coach (I like the alliteration).
My Experiences with Chess:
I am very familiar with a lot of players in Maine. I have met, talked, and even befriended some of the best players in Maine and amateurs alike as well as players outside of the state. Chess is a universal game where no matter what language you speak, what nation you represent, or what differences one may have chess is a language that can always be spoken. That is why chess is an important game not just for mental ability but for social ability as well.
Why choose me?
You deserve a prospective chess teacher to speak highly of your dedication and expertise in nurturing chess talent. With a strong 1940 rating on Chess.com, I demonstrated not only a deep understanding of the game but also a commitment to continued improvement. In an incredible period of 10 months, I gained 1100 points on my rating, reflecting not only my skill but tactical approach to the game. In addition, my continued success in USCF tournaments confirms my ability to attend live chess tournaments. As your instructor, I bring a passion for improving tactical insight, inspiring players to unleash their full potential, and loving the game of chess. Together we will continue our journey of achievement, excellence, and success in the world of chess. Your victories are my victories. I'll be there every step of the way, offering guidance, feedback, and unwavering support.
