Etiquette in a chess tournament

I feel that there are many players don't know enough etiquette. Even the politest of players don't know a few of these etiquette.

1. Allow black to choose which side the clock goes on

2. Every game should start and end in a handshake

3. Don't talk during the game even if you check someone. The only exception is offering a draw.

4. Don't repeatably offer draws

5. Offer a draw right after you move

6. Don't offer unreasonable draw offers

7. Ask to see your opponent's scoresheet on your time

8. Don't distract anyone

9. If you touch a piece deliberately, you have to move it if possible. If you touch your opponent's piece deliberately, you have to take it if possible

10. Don't talk about somebody's game or give advise in the playing hall

11. Don't always adjust pieces, such as adjusting the knights to face one way because you like it

12. Don't eat or have drinks besides water in the playing hall

13. Resign if you're in a losing position, especially if you're over 1000

14. Don't brag about your victory if you won
