Magnus Carlsen - Is this the best world has seen?
I think Carlsen plays the best chess world has seen
Magnus has regained the X factor. The indeterminable thing that makes Magnus manage to milk out wins out of parties that seem to be quite smooth. The last month he beat, among other things. Anand, Karjakin, Giri, Gristsjuk, Aronian, Svidler and Vachier-Lagrave. He has won six out of ten batches of black pieces and five of eight whites. Now Magnus is again the bulldozer the rest of the world elite fear-free meeting.
I've never seen Magnus Carlsen play better chess. Doubts increasingly if anyone has seen anyone play better chess.
The Norwegian world champion has since 31 March played 18 chess parties in the Gasjimov Memorial in Azerbaijan and Grenke Chess in Germany. The 28-year-old has won eleven games and played seven remises.
Carlsen expands the increasingly impressive range of games without loss
Counting games Magnus has played in 2019, is his rating achievement 2942. The tournament result in Grenke is even a little better and the other personal record (in tournament with at least nine games) Carlsen put in Sjamkir (2988). In Germany, it is 2990.
