My Dream of Becoming a Top Blogger
Everyone who plays chess seriously has their own dream. For some, it's becoming a Grandmaster. For someone it's reaching 3000 in online blitz. For me, my dream isn't just on the board, it's also about sharing the game. I want to become a Top Blogger on Chess.com.
Writing about chess is something I truly enjoy. It's a way for me to take all the excitement, frustration, and joy I feel from the game and turn it into something others can read, relate to, and even learn from. I'm still early in my blogging journey, but every post I publish gets me one step closer to my goal.
At the same time, I'm also chasing something else, my first official chess title: Fide Candidates Master
Right now, I'm not yet a member of any chess federation, but that's something I am planning to change in the near future. Once I'm old enough and feel ready, I want to join and start playing in over-the-board FIDE-rated tournaments. I know it won't be easy balancing chess with my education and life, but I'm ready for that challenge.
In a way, these two dreams, blogging and playing professionally go hand in hand. Becoming a CM shows dedication to chess over the board. Becoming a Top Blogger shows love for chess off the board. I'm working hard at both, whether it's playing games, analyzing openings, or sitting down to write my next post. I want to improve, to grow, and to share my journey with you.
I recently applied to become a Top Blogger. I don't know yet if I'll get in, but just applying felt like a big step. It made me realize how much I care about this. I'm not just writing for recognition, I'm writing because it's something I love doing.
And maybe, just maybe, if I keep pushing on both fronts, someday I'll be able to proudly say: "I made it. I became a Top Blogger. I became a Candidate Master".
Thanks for reading. If you've ever dreamed of something in chess, on the board or off, I hope this encourages you to chase it too.
