Club Strategies: How to get more members and run a successful club⁉️🤯

As people started to discover their personal preferences in spheres such as movies, anime, sports, and EVEN SUBJECTS 🤯‼️, they will often start their own club. When you started the club, you might not have a lot of members (maybe only you and your friends will be there). 🫣 But do not worry! Whether you are a chess.com user creating chess clubs for fun or a professional leader and manager who was trying to have real-life experience running clubs, this blog will tour you through every steps and strategies that I learned based on my real-life experience as an owner of a club (it got 900 members😎 so you can believe me)✨👍🏼

I personally own a club, and when I first created my club I never thought that the club would be this successful. The club had grown from 1 member (me) to 900+ members; and in this blog, I will teach you and list out all of the strategies and knowledge that I learned throughout the journey of running clubs.

1. Use Your Invites Everyday!🔥

To successfully run your club, you need to send invites everyday at a specific time. This required persistence from you because you need to send invites everyday to get MORE members. Also, sending invites do not guarantee that you will get a lot of members, based on my own experience, sending invites will help you to get 3 to 10 members each day (maybe more if you are LUCKY).🍀☺️

Also, you need to choose a specific time to send invites, because you can only send invites again after 24 hours. For example, when you sent invites on 8 pm yesterday, you need to wait for A WHOLE DAY which means you can only send invites again on 8pm, so you better choose the time when you are not too busy (and SEND INVITES EARLIER).✨😄

2. Design Your Club!🎨

A well-designed club can also help to attract chess players to join your club. So, when you own a club, just click "club setting" at the right bottom corner to edit it. When you are designing your club, you should be following a specific style and make the description of something to be enjoyable. For example, if you are a Harry Potter fan⚡️, then your description can be something like "Calling all witches, wizards, and chess enthusiasts! Test your skills in Wizard’s Chess with themed tournaments, puzzles, and strategy sessions. Compete for the House Cup, solve enchanted chess puzzles, and enjoy Harry Potter trivia nights. Whether you're a beginner or a grandmaster, all are welcome!". Also include some distinct features such as some hidden humors like "In here, we only eat hamburger and soaps! do not eat soaps", which made the members to be entertained.🤣🤯

Additionally, you should pick the correct name and profile pictures of your club (NEVER LEAVE THE PROFILE PICTURES BLANK). For names, the name should not include any biased messages and should be appropriate, and should be short and memorable for the chess players so it will be easier for the target players (target audience or sth, whatever XD) to know your club. For profile pictures, just pick a picture that you think is related to your club's theme and looks good. 😊😎

3. Create Club Events!👑

Club events involving tournaments and club vote chess can help the players to feel inclusive to the club and interact with their friends. Additionally, club events can help members of chess club to accumulate real-life experiences of playing chess which can be applied when they are playing online or playing with their friends.♟️🤔

Club events can also make the club to be active, imagining having a club with nobody talking, that will be kind of sad.😢💔

4. Promote The Right People🧐

In a club, you cannot do everything yourself, you need to have some helpers, and now, this is the time when you promote people to be super admins, admins, and coordinators. Before you promote people, you must be sure that THEY ARE NOT PEOPLE THAT WILL DO BAN ATTACKS (ban ALL of your members because of NO REASON), after you believed them, you then find them their correct job.🤩🎉

You can promote a player into three types of jobs: Super admins, admins, and coordinators. Super admins have the most power (not as much as the owner, duh), their jobs are mainly sending invites and help to organize the club. Admins have the second most power, and they observe people's behaviors and see if they are doing something against the rules. Coordinators have the les power, but they are also important, they organize club events which is SUPER-DUPER HELPFUL to the club.🧑🏻‍💼🥹

5. Make The Club Active🏆

Making the club active is the MOST SIGNIFICANT part of running a club, if the club is not active, then nobody will talk there and members will leave then you will not have any members at all at the end.

You can make the club to be active by arranging club events and create forums, fun competitions, and try to start conversations in your club. JUST DON'T MAKE PEOPLE TO STOP TALKING IN YOUR CLUB.
