To be fair, the reason Magnus Carlsen has yet to solve this chess puzzle is because he hasn't seen it yet.  That said, "fair" is not really a term I'd used to describe this ridiculously difficult study. "Insane", perhaps, "cruel and unusual" might apply as well.
