AI Match #2: Duel with Copilot

Hey everyone, I’m back with the second blog in my series of “The Duel With The AI.”

Today I played with Copilot, and I defeated him in 33 moves with 80 percent accuracy. Notably, Copilot only attempted two illegal moves, though the in game diagrams were inaccurate and his baffling comments served to confuse me slightly as the game progressed. Below is the game with Game Review annotations and some comments that I make.

Against ChatGPT, with similar accuracy from me, ChatGPT notably scored 74 percent accuracy, while Copilot only scored 65 accuracy. This was also the same opening, but notably ChatGPT chose 2…Nc6, while Copilot differed with 2… d6.

However, Copilot only attempted two illegal moves, compared to ChatGPT’s attempted seven, though admittedly Copilot had reached a less complex position than ChatGPT. ChatGPT also attempted several illegal moves in one move, while Copilot did not.

Note my opening strategy: I used the line to take them out of theory quickly, because I don’t know much Sicilian theory and I would be quickly crushed, because they have access to theory websites.

I have some other AI duels coming up, in the notes, suggest the next ai!
