I'm not a great player, let's be honest. However, I've noticed that one of the weakest areas of all ametuer players is the endgame. They are inded quite difficult, especially if you aren't familiar with the principles that go with it.  

In this blog I want to discuss a very importand problem of the endgame, and that is which exchanges do, and don't favor you. In general, you should aim for positions where your pieces are better suited to the board environment than your opponents are. A common misconception is that the bishop is always better that the knight in an endgame; this is, however, simply untrue. Now let's look at an example of one such position.
