Hello everyone,

After a year-long break from such activities, I'm happy to announce that Chess University simuls are back!

IM Kostya Kavutskiy will be playing a simul on Chess.com on Sunday, February 11th at 2:00 PM Pacific Time (PST). The time control is 40 minutes per person with 20 second increment per move.

How to play in simul:

To play in this simul, go to https://www.chess.com/play/online and send a challenge to IM Kostya Kavutskiy, whose username is hellokostya, at or right after 2:00 PM Pacific. The easiest way to send this challenge is by posting the following shortcode in Chess.com's live chess server: /play hellokostya 40 20

I've attached a screenshot for reference if you're not sure where to post that shortcode to send Kostya the challenge. The simul is first come first serve so Kostya will accept the first 20 to 25 challenges he receives after 2:00 PM Pacific.

How to watch live commentary by Kostya:

Kostya will stream and commentate as he plays the simul. To tune in, simply visit our public Twitch channel at 2:00 PM Pacific: https://www.twitch.tv/chessuniversity
The simul will go on for about two hours after which Kostya will briefly analyze a couple games and give tips.

It's free to play and watch so be sure to join us if you're available at that time.

Best,
Kairav
