Online Chess Tournament "Honest Chess League 1" (45'+30")

Dear Chess Friends!

This is FM Victor Neustroev and I'm glad to announce that next week we start our Honest Chess League Tournament! If you want to participate, don't forget to register.

There 2 ways to get registered:

1) Receive a personal invitation for me
2) Contact me by e-mail and find a title player who can vouch for you (that you won't use computer assistance during the games)

It’s an online chess tournament with a real money prize!

7 rounds!

1 game per week!

No registration fee for my students! Only $5 for others!

Players with FIDE (or USCF) rating under 1800 are allowed.

Chess Tournament "Chess Summer - 2020"

Start: 4th October 2020 (last day for registration).

Finish: 22th November 2020 (approximately)

Online chess tournament with money prize, 1 game per week, 7 rounds. Swiss pairings. 

Time control: 45'+30"

Prizes and distribution

1st prize: $75 (USD)

2nd prize: $25+1-hour training session with FM Victor Neustroev

3rd prize: 3 Chess courses devoted to 3 groups of tactical motifs (about 5.5-hours of educational video)

Tie-break for the 1st place in case if 2 or more players score the same total number of points after the last round.

Playing procedure

1) I make pairings and publish them in our Chess.com group & Facebook page

2) During the week your task is to negotiate with your opponent, schedule the game and play it on lichess.org or chess.com (45'+30")

3) Send me the link to this game (I have to check it for cheating)

What to do to participate in the tournament

  • Receive an invintation for me
  • If you didn't receive an invitation, ask your coach/friend (who is title player and can vouch for you) to contact me by e-mail (tricksofchess@gmail.com)
  • Pay a fee of $5 (if you are not my student): https://www.paypal.me/cmgertsog/5
  • Play fair! All games are subjects for anti-cheating control

My name is Victor Neustroev. I'm a FIDE Master with Elo rating 2305.

I'm 34. I live in Russia, Novosibirsk. I learned to play chess when I was 5. I regularly won prizes at Novosibirsk region Championship and Siberia Chess Championship among juniors. I'm a champion of Novosibirsk City Chess Club at 2002 and a champion of Novosibirsk at 2019.


I got Master's Degree in Economics at Novosibirsk State University and also played for its chess team.


Today I am focusing on teaching chess online and offline. The reason why I do this is because I feel happy when see how my students achieve success.

 

I teach juniors since 2002. Almost all of my students were ranked. Some of them got prizes at Novosibirsk region Championship.
I also work with adults.

 

I will teach you how to find tactical strikes in certain position types and how to classify them. I can help you to improve you calculational ability. I also teach you chess openings and I believe you know how important they are. According to the statistics right-playing of the opening makes from 30 to 60% of your success (the exact number depends on your level).
