Our Online Chess Tournament Finished! Congratulations to Prizewinners!
My Dear Chess Friends!
Finally after 3 months of razor-sharp play between our participants, I'm glad to tell you that all 9 rounds were finished and we have 3 prizewinners!
But before I announce who they are, let me tell you more about how this tournament was conducted.
Almost every week I created pairings and the task of the players was to negotiate with the opponent, schedule the game and play it here on chess.com or on other chess platforms. The time control was 45'+30". That's why some games lasted for 2-3 hours.
All these games were analyzed by me with the help of my anti-cheating software. Looking forward I can say that cheating was detected and I disqualified one of the players.
The 1st place and 76 GBP (what equals to $100) go to Kristina Solovieva from UK with 8.5 of 9. Kristina, I transferred this money to your father.
The 2nd place and private 1.5-hour lesson as a prize go to Dadal Cristinel from Romania. (Dadal, please, contact me by skype to schedule our lesson). Dadal scored 7.5 of 9 and I'm sure it's a good result. Now you should definitely participate in FIDE tournaments.
The 3rd place and 3 chess educational courses devoted to tactical motifs go to Scott Stanley from US. (Scott, please, email me to get the access to these courses). Scott scored 7 of 9 and I was really surprised that Scott doesn't have a FIDE rating. I think you are at least 1600.
Thank you, everyone for participating! Please, find our tournament table below:
If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask them here! You can email me at tricksofchess@gmail.com
I'm going to start announce another tournament in January, if anyone wants to join, you may also send me an email.
