Webinar 128. Save Your Game with a Stalemate (Recording) + Special Bonus
I'm sure you know that Stalemate is a kind of draw that happens when one side has no legal moves left to make. For example, if the king is no in check, but no piece can be moved without putting the king in check, then the game will end with a stalemate draw. It can also happen with a lot more pieces on the board.
You can try to trick your opponent into a stalemate when you're far behind on pieces. If your opponent isn't attentive or is low on time, run into the corner, or get behind his pawn to cause a stalemate. To avoid it, always make sure your opponent has somewhere to move before you block them in too much!
As you see stalemate can often happen in a game between amateurs. However, it happens in masters’ games as well, but not occasionally! Usually, one of the player sets a tactical trap and in case if his opponents gets into it, the combination leads to a stalemate and a positive result to a weaker player.
This Sunday at 11 a.m. (EST) we are going to discuss stalemate with you more precisely, I will teach you how to find or create a stalemate when it seems your position is completely lost.
At the end of the Workshop I conductув a quiz, where you could test yourself and win a FREE LESSON with FIDE Master at Chesslance school. Don't miss your chance to improve your chess performance!
