    by resignation...

black will lose serious material, adding to his existing deficit or be checkmated depending on his response.

also take notice of the pawn count

i dont understand if this won by time o resignation?

2...Bf5 is, of course, also good.

    3. e3 !  but 3. Nf3 ? f6 !  is Petrosian-Fischer 1971 cm (as I recall)

    4...a6 is pretty good.

    5...Bd7 seems dubious since 6. Bxc6 Bxc6 isn't better than 6...bxc6. So, either 5...a6 or 5...Bg4 makes more sense.

6...Ne5 is probably better, and certainly more entertaining, than ...a6.

Even so, after 7...bxc6 Black isn't much worse. He has the two bishops, but a doubled c-pawn. It's like a good Nimzo-Indian reversed.

    9. d4 instead of 9. d3 seems very strange to me. Why let Black undouble a c-pawn? What's gained for White?

9...Rb8, waiting to develop Bf8 and considering ...c4 to leave pawn d4 blocking Bb2.

11...Bd6 prepares O-O and prepares threat to Ne5 and perhaps h2.

    12. Ndf3 !

By 14. Qxd4 it seems White has a nice advantage, but not clear way yet to cash in.

    19. Nxe6 !? Grabbing Rf7 doesn't necessarily get to the Black king, but opening the e-file has potential.

At 22. Bxg7 the Black king is exposed, but Black's pieces look like they might be well enough positioned to defend.

Black really didn't get far before trouble fell on his head. But, I think White could also have played the early part better.
