Alekhine's Gun : A Tactic To Kill Your Opponents GamePlay!!!

In Simple words, Alekhine's Gun is a well known battery which results normally in a heavy loss of material for the opponent which was named after the Chess Master who created it , Alexander Alekhine.

if you were wondering what a battery is - A battery in chess is a formation that consists of two or more pieces on the same rank, file or diagonal. It is a tactic involved in planning a series of captures to remove the protection of the opponent's king, or to simply gain in the exchanges.

for those of you who does not know who Alekhine is, he was a Russian and French chess player and the fourth World Chess Champion.....By his 20's he was one of the strongest chess players in the world.....

This is the 1st game where the Alekhine's gun was played (bascially , the foundation of this battery)

after 26. Qc1 the Alekhine has formed the gun that's going to going kill Aron Nimzowitsch gameplay.....this formation of pieces is actually an art which is unique with deadly attacks and after g3 resigns because of zugzwang which is a situation where one player is put at disadvantage because of the obligation of him having to make the move in his turn) here no matter what is played Nimzowitsch is going to go through material loss.....(for more details - go to chess.com analysis and analyze the game, you can get a very good explanation of this)

So after this in 1936, Alekhine got a situation where he was able to use the gun again to destroy his opponent William Winter ...the game played is given below

So this is also another truly marvelous game played by Alekhine using his gun (Alekhine's gun with 2 rooks heading and a queen forming a powerful battery) 

This powerful battery wasn't only used by Alekhine who found it , but even in a game played in 2018 Women World Championship Knockout Tournament, this powerful battery was used and showed how much of value knowing that was.....the game is shown below

here too as you may see the powerful battery called Alekhine's gun was used but unlike the others two this threatens a unstoppable checkmate that will be upcoming very soon and Ju Wenjun won the game thanks to the powerful battery she created....
