Pawns and Its Importance

A pawn is an important piece.  It can promote to a queen, rook, knight, or bishop.  When the pawn is at the 8 or 1 rank it can promote.  I think promoting to queen is the best but it depends on the position.  If both kings are near the pawn, try to get the king moving with the pawn.  Many people draw the game by stalemate of insufficient material.  The main thing is: try to get the pawn to promote to a queen safely.
