Hi guys, today I am going to analyse the Italian Game in depth for my first blog, I hope you like it!

Above is the Italian Game, so now you know the opening let's analyse it!

So, the first move, e4!

e4 is a great first move, occupying the centre whilst opening up the line for the light-squared bishop, it can let the queen out for later and it's an overall great move!!

The next move, this time for black, e5! This is one of the most common replies to e4 as it occupies the centre, and it opens up lines like White did!!

Nf3! White develops a knight whilst attacking the undefended e5 pawn, it opens a bit of the Kingside so White can get castled early!!

Nc6! This move brings out a knight, whilst defending the e5 pawn, an overall great move!!

Bc4! White clears the Kingside whilst attacking the weak f7 pawn, there are also lots of traps here including the fried liver attack.

I hope you liked my blog, bearing in mind it's my first one!

Bye for now!!
