 #1. The Pin

The pin is a tactic that forces a piece to not move or loss of game or material.

The fork attacks two things or more at once usually with a knight, bishop, rook, or queen.

Knight Fork 1.1

Bishop Fork 1.2

Rook fork 1.3

Queen fork 1.4

Last but not least.

The X-Ray / Skewer.

This idea is a motif that attacks 2 or more pieces in a row to capture the ones behind.
