Best Game #4
Hello and welcome back to Daily Games where I show my best and worst games!
Compared to the other blogs I have made in Daily Games, this game was not the best but I have not posted in a while so I present to you this game that I played on May 21, 2023.

My accuracy was 79.1. In my other blogs it was around 90 - 95 but like I said, I haven't posted in a while.
On move 18, I moved b3. I was trying to push my pawns and get a better pawn structure but I missed Bxh7, which captures a free pawn. On move 13, Be3 was a blunder because I lose a pawn with Bxe3+ followed by Nxd5 when I take back the bishop with my queen.
Moving the king to Kh1 on move 21 was a mistake. I'm not sure why, but the chess.com engine says that it allows my opponent, @hugoaw to go Qe3 and for me to take a pawn on f7. If you know why it was a mistake to move Kh1, tell me in the comments.
Move 22. What can I say? I was a very bad move. Rae1 allows @hugoaw to win a bishop with Rxh7, this is a very good because if I move my queen off the g file, I will get checkmated with Qxg2. Taking the rook on h7 would lure the queen off the G file. I was moving too quick this game and saw Rxh7 the moment after Rae1. So, I am glad @hugoaw missed it and instead moved h5? h5 allowed me to threaten the queen with my bishop. This was why I wanted to move my rook to e1 in the first place, to go Be4.
On move 25, I moved e6. This was the top engine move. @hugoaw responds with fxe6. I then did my only great move, Qxd7+ this trades queens and one he takes with his rook, I created a passed pawn by taking on e6. Moves 30 - 36 was very cool, I kept pushing pawns towards victory. There was really nothing he could do. I was winning, +40.
There was two promotions in this game and I considered promoting to a knight on move 36. Of course, I ended up promoting to a queen. The game ended in a simple ladder mate, with Qe8#
