The Future of Kenya part 3
I shall now introduce you to Robert Mcligeyo the cream of the crop in terms of youngsters in Kenya. He has a Fide rating of (2009) Standard, (1686) Rapid, and (1718) Blitz.
His career so far has been illustrious as it has been dazzling, no less of which is becoming the top-ranked player in Kenya. He is a man on a mission and has now become the hope of the country.

The East- Africa region is facing a short-term lack of grandmasters but with the likes of Robert Mcligeyo on the horizon, the question becomes not a matter of if but a matter of when he shall become a grandmaster.
Robert Mcligeyo's dominance has been felt in chess tournaments in Kenya for a long time, especially in junior tournaments he has outright massacred the competition, An example is his 6/6 score in the Kenya Junior Championship 2022 where he emerged the winner and represented the country at the Africa Junior Chess Championship, in the port city of Bejaia in Algeria.

This pales in comparison with the fantastic twist he accomplished in the 2023 selection phase, He ousted the 2022 Kenya National Chess Champion Mehul Gohil from participating in International events!
A never before seen occurred whereby the National Champion was not part of the roster of players going to compete internationally.
This win against Mehul Gohil contributed to his oust and this is the game I will show below,
