Untitled, but also untilted

  Those of you who have been following my progress likely know that I first hit 2100 rapid around the end of 2021. Those of you who have been following my progress likely know that well... I haven't been doing that well online since then. (I think my rapid dropped to below 1900 at one point... oof.) But recently, for whatever reason, my online rapid games have been going fairly well and I'm at a new peak. And for that reason (also having too much time on my hands) I've been grinding.

 I find that August is usually a good month for me online... my brain goes into full grinding mode as I know when school rolls around I'll have less time to play. Last year, August was the month where my rapid increased to 2000... from mid-1800's. Then I stagnated for the rest of the school year, pretty much.

 Anyways, I present a game here, because annotating my games is my new favorite method of trying to get better than chess, and if I post it on my blog I can be rewarded with views on a chess website on the internet. Cool.

 There is, however, a problem with my rapid grinding. That is, weirdly an online rating increase, at least for me, seems like it frequently means a drop in my USCF rating (over the board chess, for those who don't know). 

 Oh well, good thing I'm on vacation. Oh wait, I have the Washington International next week and it's like five days long, nine rounds, and a boatload of rating at stake. Perfect.

 Oh and by the way can someone check what my rapid rating is by say, Halloween? My personal guess is I've tilted back to around 2025. Hopefully not below 2000.

 Because after all, life is not a straight line. It is full of unexpected twists, bumps, and turns.

 And most of all, tilt.
