Magnus Carlsen Announces His Retirement

Magnus Carlsen, the greatest chess player to ever live, has retired from professional chess.  In a shocking decision, the 34 year old has called it quits.  For over a decade, Carlsen has been holding the World #1 position.  Many people remember his 2013 World Championship match against Viswanathan Anand as one of the greatest battles in the history of the game.  

But why did he retire?
