Blitz chess is becoming the most common chess time control for everyone even super-grandmaster tournaments. Some people still prefer rapid and classical chess, but I think that blitz is one of the better chess time controls. I especially prefer it when played over the board becuase what amateurs want to play a classical game that is over the board.(More on classical chess to come.) Here are a few other thoughts about bullet chess from others:

  1. Here is Chess.com's chess term on blitz. https://www.chess.com/terms/blitz-chess
  2. Here is another. https://www.chess.com/blog/aditya0405/the-worlds-strangest-blitz-game
  3. Here is the one more. https://www.chess.com/blog/AS_fella/5-minute-blitz-is-bliss
  4. Here is another. https://www.chess.com/blog/BlakeyBChess/3-tips-for-mastering-blitz-chess
  5. And the final one. https://www.chess.com/blog/clevelandtribe/if-the-candidates-tournament-was-for-blitz

Speed Chess which is rapid, blitz and bullet is played a stunning 99+% of the time or 11,606,118  games just today on Chess.com!! I would think that one-third of those games are blitz chess. I think that blitz chess is the best time control for a small private tournamnt or a few friendly games.   And finally how can you play blitz chess on Chess.com. You can go to their play server, select a time control(Blitz would be any where from lower than ten minute to higher than 2 minute) and click on the play button. Tell me what you think about blitz chess in the comments below.  Come back and look for part three on rapid chess. I will take a short break from this series to write a blog about the bongcloud. Good luck and happy blitz chess.
