Some people often wonder what age to teach chess to children. In this blog I will explain my thought process to get to my conclusion.

1.Rather obvoiusly the younger usally the better. It should be under 35 usally with exceptions like Vishy Anand. Here is an article by NM Smarter Chess about that

2.We all know that the younger you are the more your brain is developing. When you look at babies and toddlers their brain is developing more and they are more curious. If you have wondered why that is it is becuase they are more curious and do not mind getting things wrong.I have a 1 year old brother who likes to find chess books on the bookshelf, can say chess ,can pick out chess peices and chess sets and calls Bobby fischer Teaches Chess "Bobby Chess".24986.90014d85.668x375o.e9be8780d89c.jpegHere is the young Samuel Reshevesky playing a simal .

3.At the ages 5-17 children are least busy and can study more

To sum that up I think people peak around age 35 but it is the best to teach young children the earliest you can.
