SCC Round 1 vs Peter Svidler
SCC – Fast and basic tactics!
The 2021 has started! Having won the tournament for the last 3 years – I am well aware things are not becoming easier! My round one opponent was the always interesting and creative eight times Russian champion Peter Svidler. The 5 1 section was close but the faster the time got, my chances kept improving – and that was the story of this match. Without much analysis here are few of the most basic tactics, tricks, and fun stuff from my match against Svidler. Next week the action continues playing Anish Giri.
