Are you tired of slow and long games? This blog is just made for you. I will explain 4 opening traps that you can use to crush your opponents with example games and explanation.

1. Englund Gambit played against d4 (Checkmate in 8 moves)

The Englund Gambit is a really common trap that almost every beginner falls for. Even I fell out for this trap one time. If your opponent doesn't play Bf4 in the fourth move but plays Nc3, Just play a normal game because there is no trap after that move. Nc3 instead of Bf4 in the fourth move of the game is common and is the best move for white. There is also many different variations of the Englund like the Soller Gambit. You can check it out whenever you want to.

2. Italian Game, Blackburne Shilling Gambit (Checkmate in 7 moves)

The Blackburne Shilling Gambit is a really good trap ı use a lot when ı am black. The Blackburne Shilling Gambit can be declined by playing c3 in the fourth move of the game. In this position, you can pretty much retrieve your knight back or take the knight on f3. I more likely take the knight on f3 but it releases the queen. You can do whatever you want.

3. Scholar's Mate f5 trick

This trick you can use to demolish Scholar's Mate is really cool and is brilliant. If your opponent takes with the pawn instead of queen develop your knight to f6. There still is a winning sequence after that move but it is way too complicated and is too long. I will make a blog completely different about it and ı will explain everything. Don't Worry.

4. Légal Trap played with white (Checkmate in 8 Moves)

The Légal Trap is not a really common trap you can play because the Paris Defence after the Italian game is really uncommon, but it is still a really solid trap. If your opponent trades the bishop with the knight on move 5, then just take with the pawn (g5 is better) and live a normal life. That is it!

There you go! 4 opening and traps for free!... why did ı spent my life on this?
