Vishwanathan Anand 5 times world chess champion is taking on the role of commentating for the upcoming clash of Magnus Carlsen and Ian Nepomniachtchi.

Vishy Anand says:

"I think it will be fun. I have already experienced it online."

Regarding how he thought of being a commentator, Vishy says:

"Not much of a story there...basically the FIDE asked me about being a commentator for the world championship match and I thought why not try it."

Regarding the players, he said:

"Carlsen is in pretty good form. He has been reactive. He has been preparing well. He will be the favourite.

Nepomniachtchi is strong enough to be a good opponent. I am hoping that it will be an exciting match."
