Hey Guys And Gals

Today I am going to be talking about A guide to become a good chess player.Yes I am going to redo my blog.I thought something was a little off and wanted to discontinue blogging so I deleted my blog.Of course I kinda regret doing it but nevertheless I thought it was best that I did it.Back to topic Many people say do this do that to become a great player. They are not wrong but most people never provide a suitable reason for doing it.

CHESS.COM ARTICLE

1.As A beginner dont waste time memorizing moves for an opening instead learn the true purpose.

Most people say this. But why? At first I was perplexed and didnt really understand it.After I read about it I was really understanding why it was so important. It just means that at a beginner level or intermediate level People generally dont have the tendency to play the best move for example:

The Stafford Gambit

Normally that is what should happen
BUT When I play this is what happens (sometimes)

On to the next point

2.Never move the same piece twice

WallPaperFlare.com

This is very easy to understand and tell us that if we move a piece twice the opponent gains a tempo. For Example

What is tempo ??

a tempo is a "turn" or single move.So in the example the opponent wasted a move for defending the queen and white is ahead in development too.

3.Try to control the center .

Controlling the center is like a chain.Controlling the center = getting space advantage =pushing you opponents into a corner = Very Aggressive play.

Obviously this does not happen automatticaly.Though have a space advantage you should able to maintain and dominate the game. Also there are exceptions to space advantage like The French Defence

Thanks
