I Am Okay's Blog (Openings)
Hi there! Are your openings sad and depressing and lose hundreds of rating points each day? If so, you came to the right place.
1. King's Indian Attack
The main idea of the KIA (King's Indian Defense) is quick development and good future attacking play.
2. King's Pawn Opening
The most basic is the King's Pawn Opening. Similar to the KIA, this offers quick development and takes lots of space.
3. Queen's Pawn Opening
This is the Queen's gambit, gambiting the central c4 pawn to deflect black's d5 pawn from controlling the center. Black however can decline it by playing e6, or rarely c6.
Now, however, once you are done reading this, don't think you know everything and start playing in Titled Tuesday. Once you keep losing, don't complain to me that I'm a terrible teacher. Study these openings. and over time you see improvement in your openings.
