Fortnite's Controversial New Decision - An I.C.D. Mini Blog
I'm very sorry about this, my name is @IceConeDragon and I'm leading this blog today to talk about the new, controversial decision Epic Games made just today. It's not all bad, but it's mostly bad.
Good News
First of all, Fortnite: Save The World, which you had to buy a pack for, is expected to be free when Chapter 7 Season 2 drops. This may not be the best news for people who bought the pack for $18.50.
Secondly, The prices of the battle pass, the OG pass, the lego pass and the music pass have gone down in prices by 200 v-bucks ($2). These price changes lead into most of the bad news as well.
Bad News
For people (such as myself) who by Fortnite Crew, which is the Fortnite monthly subscription, must know that the crew only gives 800 v-bucks now instead of the current 1,000 v-bucks, so a reminder to crew buyers, renew your crew now if anything.
The new Battle Pass prices may sound amazing, but a sad fact is that they got rid of the bonus v-bucks system. An example, along with the 1,000 you spend, you get 1,700 v-bucks back, so that's 700 v-buck profit each time, but now, the prices are 800 v-bucks with 800 v-bucks now.
Along with that, real world money prices on v-bucks have also gotten worse, instead of 1,000 v-bucks for $9, it's 800 v-bucks for $9. The same kind of stuff has been put on the other v-buck options.
And worst of all, with all the price shifts, there has been no news about shop price decreases, which worries me if collab skins might still be at 1,500 v-bucks, if so, that would make collab skins almost $18 instead of the current $13.50.
Epic Games said that it was to help pay the bills since hardware prices have gone up for the gaming industry, inflation can slo be seen with Nintendo and X-Box bumping game prices.
I hope you listened to my miniature blog, and spread the word to any unfortunate player who doesn't know.
