Chapter 1: Cracked Glass
Lucy watched from a safe distance as the specimen slowly stirred in its place. Eyes closed. As if it was in deep thought. Well, could she really call it an it. It looked like a guy. The facial features did of course, it, or he, had no genitals. She was happy about that. Made it less awkward. All around her, scientists. Making sure that nothing in the lab went wrong. They were all idiots, the whole lot of them. "Run project Strong Bird!" Lucy shouted. The scientists followed all of her rules. Of course they did, she was their leader, their boss, their Messiah. "Are the systems ready to go?". "Everything is in place" said one of the scientists. "Then Let's begin!". The water the specimen was in changed colour, now it was some sort of ultra dark grey. Not black. Suddenly, the glass cracked and the water spilled out. The scientists looked confused. "Right! Who did that?". No one said anything. None of them had done anything. This was bad. This was very bad. Then, the specimen, started to melt in front of her into a pile a black goo. Then it started to move, moving between the rooms. Lucy watched in utter horror as the specimen turned back into human form and started killing all of her top scientists. His hands turned to sledgehammers, knives, guns, axes, and no one could stop him. One of the scientists started shooting him, all of the targets hit, but barely made the specimen flinch. Black blood briefly came out of the wound and then went back in and the wound closed up. Lucy pressed a button and green gas filled the room that the specimen was in. It fell asleep. "Specimen 1406 is unconscious, we lost 44 scientists. Get rid of the specimen, give him a new name, genitals, a foster family". "What do you want his name to be?", said the general. "Raiden, Raiden Plorow."...
Chapter 2: Head in the clouds
Raiden was getting dressed for school at Weeping Willow Academy. It was a sunny day, and his parents, Maria and Frank, were downstairs, watching game shows. Like they normally did. They didn't really mind if he was late for school. They should care, he thought. I'm always late for school and my parents don't care. They weren't his real parents, they had told him that when he was 13, now he was 16 and that fact didn't mean anything. They didn't really tell him anything else about his life before them, sometimes he felt like they were hiding something from him, but he usually pushed away the thought. Dismissing it as crazy. He sometimes wondered why he never bled before, but his parents just said it was tough skin. He never had many friends at school, he just wasn't the friend-making type. Well, he had one true friend, Tony, the rest were kinda acquaintances. He was thankful that he was an only-child, or else he thought that his parents would despise him. He got on his bike and started cycling to school. The bike was too small. His parents never bothered getting him everything new. He thought about it for a while and happily came to the conclusion that he hated his parents. When he got to school, Tony was waiting for him, waiting there in the class. Everyone was waiting in the class, looking at him. Mr. Wither looked at him. "why are you late, Raiden?", He said. "Traffic" Raiden said, too quickly. "Traffic? On a bike lane?" said Wither curiously. "I meant traffic lights" Raiden said, knowing that he had had no problem with the traffic lights. "See me After Scho-" But before he could finish his sentence, the sounds of gunshots and a man saying MAGA filled the air. "A school shooting?" whispered Raiden to Tony rhetorically. "Well," Whispered Tony, "Based on the fact that he has a gun and that he says MAGA, I'm going to guess that this shooter is American, but still, how would he be able to smuggle a gunnel the way to Ireland?" "I don't know, Tony, but on the count of three you need to cover for me, I'm fighting the gunman". "You sound light-headed, are you after going to the helium shop?" "See ya, Tony". And so Raiden Left the room.
Chapter 3: Fun on a gun
Raiden didn't know why he was running, his brain screamed at him to go back and get a better chance at survival but his legs just kept going to the shooting. He ran for what felt like ages and then came to the shooter, he was pretty tall, with a shaved head, broken strait jacket, jeans and a maniacal look on his face. Beside him were 1st years and a teacher, all dead. Dead!? This guy needs to be taught a lesson. Suddenly, the crazy American started shooting at him. The bullets hit him square in the chest and Raiden screamed in pain and in horror. But, black blood came out and then retracted into his body. His arm suddenly turned to black goo and shot out like a tentacle and wrapped around the shooter's head. He felt his hand squeeze and let go and the body crumpled to the floor, lifeless. He heard people running through the corridors, wondering why the shooting had stopped. Raiden turned himself fully black so people wouldn't be able to identify him. He ran out of the school, surprised at his new-found strength and went to an alleyway in the city. He relaxed, and because of that he melted into a puddle on the floor. he was still conscious, which made him even more powerful. he started climbing up the tallest building he could find and when he was on the top, he made himself into a slingshot and launched himself hundreds of metres forward. He squished against a building and reformed quickly after. This was great, no, this was supreme.
Chapter 4: The experiment experiments
Raiden was obviously amazed with his powers, but he needed to experiment to their limits. Just in case something went wrong while he was using his powers. "Okay," Raiden said to his camera. "Yesterday, I found out that I have powers, superpowers actually. I'm using this video to experiment the limits of my superpowers". "#1 on the list, How much distance can I cover?". Raiden was on top of the same building from before. The wind blew at his face, though he was in full black. He did the slingshot position again, except this time he went further, his arms were now stretched 3 metres and he felt like they would snap, he let go... He flew upwards and forwards so fast he could feel himself turning to mush as he flew. This time, he went over the city and went splat into the dirt, and also left a miniature crater in the ground. One man saw him and stared. Raiden waved at him and left. Now he was attempting 4 metres of distance from hands, and this time his arms separated from him, and he needed to pull his arms and reattach them. He tried 4 metres again, but this time, focusing on transferring some of his back to his arms, and so he did. He got rid of some of his back and reinforced his back, he now went back to 8 metres, using all of his back to reinforce his arms. He let go and flew, it took a minute to get to the ground, but it felt so fast as he was zooming over the city. When he landed, he was pretty sure he was in Wicklow. He decided to put everything into the next shot, 20 metres, his body was basically just a line now, and he was on another building with his arms on the original building, he let go. He soared for 10 minutes, the longest airtime for a human being without a vehicle, and landed straight in London. His head hit the Big Ben and he groaned in pain. Now that he was here, he could start experiment two. "#2, what happens when I go into the water?". Raiden jumped straight in the water and dissolved. He was stretched out so far his atoms were in every part of the sea. He concentrated on the beach in Dublin and when he opened his eyes he had come back together on Dublin beach. "Okay, so water is a form of a sort of teleportation, good for hiding". Such a short distance didn't satisfy Raiden though, so he tried bigger. He went back into the water and dissipated again. Now he thought of Japan, and sure enough, he reappeared in Japan. This overjoyed him. He decided to get to the USA for this next one. "#3, how strong am I now?". He paid for a rage room somewhere in New York and lashed out on the furniture, slashing away furniture in tiny swipes. When he hit metal, something peculiar happened, the metal was absorbed into him and he felt that he got extra power. He moulded the metal, turning it into two bladed, and connected them to his back. "Okay, so now we know that my power can easily destroy and that I can now use metal to add to my body or mould it into something else". Raiden was happy with all his results, he headed home.
Chapter 5: Don't call me names
Raiden got home, he was exhausted, but he still had two things to do. First, he designed his black coat, giving it read marks, and absorbed some glass for a core and visor. He was happy, but not supremely happy, he still needed one more thing. He went over to Tony's house, he went in, Tony looked at him and dropped the glass of water he was holding. "Y-y-you're the guy who killed the shooter, please don't hurt me," whimpered Tony. "It's okay," Raiden said, realising that he couldn't say that he was Raiden, "I just need help making myself a superhero name, wait, actually... How do you like Goo?" "Sounds stupid" said Tony, getting some dignity back. "Well, Tony, I don't care, I'm choosing it, goodbye." Then Raiden left, knowing that his journey was only just beginning...
