Pokemon, I love them a bit too much🤣
Hola, welcome to another blog by IceConeDragon. Today the topic is on the big franchise that is called pocket monsters but I'll call it pokemon for now. It started in the olden days🤣 (A.K.A before I was born) with the OG 151 Pokemon, Mew🧏 being the rarest of course. My favourite from Gen 1 had to be Gengar and in second place Dragonite needs to be taking the lead. But over the years, other stuff like the anime, manga and cards have come in and it has really expanded the Pokemon universe, you can't forget the Pokemon games either. Now, 29 years later, Pokemon has a whopping 9 generations and 1025 Pokemon! But is there lore to it? Because that was my entire YouTube history when I was 7🤣. Of course then I got the switch and have been playing pokemon ever since. I even finished the Pokédex in two of the games. That includes mythic Pokemon. What's your favourite pokemon? 
You probably know who Pikachu is right🤨? The most famous of all pokemon. Obviously not the favourite in votes but no. 25 is the mascot of Pokemon and there is absolutely no way that you couldn't know who pikachu was. Then comes Ash Ketchum. The mascot human of the pokemon universe. Well... until they dumped the 37 year old 10 year old for some other goofy character. Still can't believe Ash has been 20 for 27 years. Bro get a job. Of course eevee and ... *ahem Vaporeon* ... we have the other 149 pokemon. Mew and Mewtwo are the main legendary and mythicals of gen 1. Ngl Ash was kinda mean in the first show. There are some pretty good roasts.

Good jokes. Loved the anime but could never grasp season two since it wasn't on Netflix and pokemon TV shut down. You know the pokemon trading cards right? The ones that you need to collect. Well, over the amount of years that I've been collecting pokemon cards I have gotten 943 pokemon out of the 1025! And I haven't even completed one of the 9 generations. Of course there are difficult to obtain cards like Patrat and Watchog. Did you see any of the dark Pokemon lore? It's pretty dark considering that ghost pokemon like the gastly evolution line are born when pokemon die. There's also more lore. Cuban actually where's the skull of its deceased mother on its head. People are coming up with theories that Charizard is actually cubones mother and Cuban is just Charmander without the tail fire. Thus deepening the lore about then why didn't cubone become A charizard. But then you see the slight resemblance of Marowak and Chameleon and you start to consider if Marowak could get an evolution. Then they also have pokemon Funko pops. I never got much into Funko pops so I just have one big Sprigatito one up in my room that I got for my birthday.
The pokemon games on the switch were so entertaining because they always had more in store for the player. You completed the game? Complete the Pokedex! Completed the Pokédex? Complete the side quests or buy the DLC if the game has one and complete the DLC! I had loads of fun playing pokemon Violet. My friend had pokemon scarlet so I sometimes played pokemon hide and seek with him in the second part of the DLC. I also completed the Pokédex in pokemon legends arceus but the whole point of the game is to kinda catch and research every pokemon. I never got around to playing the pokemon sword Pokédex to the very end since I don't have shield and don't know anybody with shield plus nobody plays pokemon sword so trading isn't much of an option.
So my glamorous yapping didn't get you to consider playing pokemon. Are you still thinking that it is for kids just because you see kids wearing pokemon backpacks that look really kiddy. But I can assure you that pokemon can also be for the more mature. Pokemon cards are worth collecting. You can be the one who likes to buy the old ones from a long time ago or you could be the type of person who doesn't care how old the card is and just wants all of the different person or you could be the one person who actually knows how to play the TCG💀. There is also complex strategy in doing online battles in the pokemon games. So this is Ol... I mean I.C.D., signing off.
