(Off Topic) The Story of the Chickens

THE CHICKEN STORY

This is definitely off-topic. But, for your entertainment, here you go. 

Yesterday, my mom and I got new pet chickens. 5 of them. We got them from a small family with a bunch of animals. It was around 10 dollars per chicken so 50 dollars in total. The chickens were the size of a cooked chicken that you could buy at the store. Way bigger than I expected. After we picked them up, we went home. Supposedly a birthday surprise for my siblings, the 5 chickens were the biggest pets we had ever had. We've had fish, beta fish mostly, always dying quickly, and a turtle, which we had to send off after the male bit the female's neck. Sad. This is why I expected this to happen again. 

Let's go back to the surprise. 

We brought the chickens out of the car after I asked my dad to help. I told my sister and brother to stay there and told them we got something like a box of soccer cards, which I previously got for my brother. Later once my mom and dad took the chickens out and into the small side alley in our yard, I brought my siblings out to see the chickens. The next day one of my friend's brothers would be coming over. In the morning, we woke up with the sound of my friend's brother, after my dad brought him upstairs. I was really excited to show him the chickens. But, I had school. Mid school when it was a break for me, my mom set the chickens free in our backyard. One chicken quickly ran away. The chicken jumped over the fence. Four chickens were left but then three after I was asking the chickens to stay and calm down. Yes, that's when another chicken ran off. The third chicken jumped on a fence, coming back down later. I had learned not to bother the chickens on their first day at their new home. The chickens soon gained my mom's trust and kept themselves hidden behind a bush. My mom gave them some oranges and water for lunch. After school, I had TeeterPal chess class. I won first place in the tournament right after. This is all after I had spotted one of the chickens which had run away. Now we have four chickens.

How did we get the fourth chicken back? It came back. 

We are hoping for the last chicken to come home soon.
