How To Get Your Chess.com Rating To 1000!

Hi everyone! Today I’m going to give you all some tips to help you get your chess.com rating to 1000! And even if your rating is above 1000, these tips still might help you improve your game, so keep on reading!

1. Play slower time controls

My first tip for you guys is to stop playing blitz and bullet and play rapid instead. This is because in a rapid game, you have more time on the clock and you tend to think more carefully before making a move. I recommend you play 20-30 minute games but you can play longer time controls if you wish.

2. Solve puzzles

Solving chess puzzles is a great way to train your mind! It develops your sharpness and mental agility to solve complex positions. Every grandmaster incorporates solving puzzles into their training system and so should you if you want to get to 1000! 

3. Double check your moves 

Some people when playing chess don’t double check their moves before they make a move and sometimes that results in them blundering a piece! If you were to double check your moves you would end up blundering less and your chess rating would get to 1000 in no time.

4. Analyse your games 

Last but not least, you should analyse your games. Analysing your chess games correctly is a great opportunity to discover where you went wrong, to check how good you know an opening, how good you identify the key moments of the game, how good you evaluate the positions and how strong are your plans of play.
