Memes are a heavy part of internet culture. Many people sit for hours watching and reading memes. Why? Because it is entertaining. So, for today's blog, I have gathered a list of 3 of the funniest chess memes for us to enjoy. So, without further ado,

I feel so bad for checkers. Chess always takes the spotlight most of the time and checkers gets pushed aside. And what I want to know is WHY the bishop is crying when the checker come into the room. Like bro do you have an issue or something? The checker looks like a great person. Poor checker...

wOaH that is a muscular dog lol. But why is his feet so small  😭. And chess kings aren't THAT weak. In the endgame, a lot of people claim a king is worth 4 points. And chess kings don't have to worry, because I will look after them with care (unless the king is the enemy... that is, to say the least, an unpleasant situation for that king).

This blog has not been very educational, so I'll take this moment to be a little better at that. See the position below:

The guy in the meme says "black has an easy win", and, a lot of people would agree. But, this is actually drawn. See below:

Why is this drawn? Well, there is a common rule in chess: If the bishop does not match the color of the promotion square, and the opposing king can make it to the promoting square, it is a draw. To put it in context, the promotion square for the h-pawns is actually a light square, and the bishop is a dark squared bishop, meaning the bishop cannot help. That means that it is a flank pawn and king vs king, which, as we all know, is a DRAW. 

To make it easier to visualize, just forget about the bishop (as I said earlier, it can't help). Now do you believe it is drawn?
