1. WHAT IS THE COW?
The cow is a meme opening popularized by anna cramling and was supported by many Grandmasters. Here it is:
As you can see, it is not ideal. The pawns are blocking the bishops and the knights are weird on b3 and g3.
2. KEY IDEAS AND MOVES (TO PUNISH THE COW)
If your opponent plays the cow, you have 3 advantages that you usually don't get out of the opening.
- Control of the centre, you can play e5 d5 c5 and then you have complete control.
- Win of multiple tempi, they waste time moving both of the knights twice
- Have more active and flexible pieces and position, the flow will come easer and more efficiently.
