1. General Conduct
1. Respect All Members – Be polite and show good sportsmanship. No hate speech, insults, or personal attacks.
2. Fair Play & Integrity – Cheating of any kind (engine use, sandbagging, account sharing, etc.) is strictly prohibited. Members should report suspected violations to club admins or Chess.com support.
2. Game & Tournament Rules
3. No Stalling or Frequent Disconnections – Players must complete their games on time. If a member frequently disconnects or times out, they may receive a warning or be restricted from events.
4. Rating Divisions – Some tournaments may have rating-based divisions:
- Under 1200
- 1200-1600
- 1600+
This ensures fair competition.
3. Club Activity & Engagement
5. Active Participation – Members should engage in at least one club event or discussion per month. Prolonged inactivity (without prior notice) may result in removal from the club.
6. Event Scheduling & Announcements – All events will be announced in the club forum. Members are encouraged to check regularly.
4. Communication & External Platforms
7. Respect in Club Chat & External Channels – If the club uses Discord, WhatsApp, or other platforms, the same rules apply. Any violations on external platforms may impact club membership.
8. No Spamming or Unapproved Promotions – Members may not post promotional links without admin approval. Chess-related content is allowed if approved.
5. Club Roles & Dispute Resolution
9. Admins & Moderators – Club admins and moderators are responsible for enforcing rules, organizing events, and resolving disputes.
10. Dispute Handling –
- Any issues should be reported to an admin.
- Disputes will be reviewed fairly based on evidence.
Repeated violations may result in warnings, temporary bans, or permanent removal from the club.
