Once upon a time I owned several chess books. I can't remember the titles or the authors but I remember reading each of these books several times and I believe I benefited from them. These books are history. I don't know what happened to them but they are no longer in my library.
I've been looking for some replacements. There are many good books, I'm sure, but I haven't been able to find what I'm looking for.
Last week I purchased a book, off Amazon, by Garry Kasparov entitled: Checkmate, My First Chess Book. I should have know, by the title, that it was a basic beginner's book. I guess I couldn't imagine Mr. Kasparov writing a book for kids. However, the book is really great. I'm glad I've added it to my library. Maybe I'll get to read it to my grand-son or grand-daughter!
In the mean time, I'm still looking for a couple of good books. Any suggestions?
