English Attack- Sicilian Defense Variation Full Lines
The English Attack is a great opening for all you attackers out there! In lower-rated players this line which I have played feels about 90% win and 10% loss for me, seeing as you have to sacrifice a whole lot of pieces as well in it! A line coming off of the Sicilian Defense, this is a complicated but fun opening, and definitely should be in your head.
This, for me, Is a traditional, good English Attack.
Of course, there are many lines going off this particular opening, some of the popular ones being:
And, Maybe even this!
But these are irrelevant, as long as YOU HAVE THE BASIC IDEA. GO for the Kingside. Before attacking you should usually castle Queenside. And, don't sacrifice so much that you can't win anymore, and finally, Pawn storming is probably your best chance to win.Here is a game I played going off this attack as an example.
You may think after Black resigned, "Is there a mate?" Probably. I analyzed the game after and this was what I found after 20. Kxh7:
