When most people decide to take that step from beginner to novice, they are told "Two pieces are better than the rook and pawn unless in an open endgame with an active rook." In this game, I sacrificed the two pieces for a tremendous attacking position.
Even though the game wasn't error free by a long stretch, my sacrifice made it very difficult for black to find the narrow paths to survival.
