I made it! (However briefly - LOLZ)

I thought that Caïssa would forever block me from reaching the 1800-rating level.  Way back in the early 1980's, playing over-the-board (OTB), I could get into the lower half of the 1700's (USCF), but never higher.  Too many mistakes, blunders, and poor technique.  I had a couple of Expert-level performance ratings, only to toss won games away with apparent ease!

True, online chess is not as taxing as OTB, and I have time to find my blunders (usually) before I actually play them.

So I am going to record this, even if it is transitory.  I feel that once I have broken through this barrier, I can do it again.
