Today was the Primary Election in Calif

I worked the polls as a paid clerk.  It was fun meeting people as they came through to vote.  About 40-45% of all registered voters in my precinct voted by mail (absentee ballot).  Otherwise we only had about 10-12% of the registered votes come in today and cast a ballot, so roughly 50% to 57% voted.

Not good, really.  And the 40+% of the those who sat it out, you have nothing to complain about.

EDIT 5 June 14: I was waaaaay off the mark.  I am not sure about my own precinct, but the State-wide participatin was just 18%.
